Curriculum Vita

Dr. Weinberg is the author or editor of six books (two monographs, three edited volumes in sexuality, and one textbook). His newest book, co-edited with Dr. Gerhard Falk and Dr. Ursula Falk is The American Drug Culture (2017). His work in gay studies, the sociology of sadomasochism, and substance abuse appears in sociological and interdisciplinary journals such as the Bulletin of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, Journal of Sex Research, the Journal of Homosexuality, American Journal of Sexuality Education, Annual Review of Sex Research, Journal of Psychology & Human Sexuality, Deviant Behavior, Journal of Drug Issues, and Social Analysis. He is an Associate Editor of Ethnographic Studies and Sexuality & Culture and a referee for numerous professional journals. Dr. Weinberg's research interests include theory building, the sociology of emotions, alcohol studies, deviance and sexuality. He teaches Contemporary Sociological Theory, Social Psychology, Group Dynamics, Deviant Behavior, The Sociology of Sexual Behavior, and The Sociology of Addiction.
